Throwback: Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall

Title: The Dead Girls of Hysteria Hall

Author: Katie Alender

3.5 stars: "This book was okay to read.  I wish that it was a little more scarier.  The plot was mostly learning about all of the different characters in the story.  The author did a good job describing the major problem that affected all the characters.  In all situations the main character was put through, she made all the right and understandable choices."

                                                          Title: Before I Fall

Author: Lauren Oliver

4 stars: "I thought it was a good book but it was very similar to If I Stay [by Gayle Foreman].  I thought it was kind of slow leading up to the end, but overall it was a good book."

Throwback: The Reason I Jump

                                                       Title: The Reason I Jump

Author: Naoki Higashida

3 stars: "It was not the type of book I like to read.  But it is very informative about autism.  And it gives you some insight [into] how they feel."
 - Sophia, 13 (Teen Summer Reading 2017)

4 stars: "I feel this way because I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.  It was an informative book.  I just really didn't enjoy the repetition of the questions that were asked because it made some parts very boring."
-Adrienne, 13 (Teen Summer Reading 2017)

2 stars:  "I felt that this book was boring and repetitive.  There was no plot for most of the story, only questions.  I thought it was cool to see some aspects of a person with autism's life."
-Jay, 13 (Teen Summer Reading 2017)
