Rating (1-5 stars): 4 stars

"Between Shade of Gray written by Ruta Sepetys was a good book.  I would rate it four out of 5 stars.  The book is about the main character, Lina [who] is a 15 year old girl who is getting ready for art school.  One night her whole life changed [when] the soviet police deported her and her family to Siberia.  Lina struggles to save her life, and she vows to live to honor her family.  Between Shades of Gray  was an amazing book." - Molly T, grade 9

*Ruta Sepetys (pronounced suh-pet-es) has 2 other books!  Out of the Easy, a book set in New Orleans in 1950.  We follow Josie who strives for college, but her plans are halted when a mysterious death happens in the French Quarter.
Then there is Salt to the Sea, where we follow 4 POVs(pointsof view).  It's 1945, there are 4 teenagers and each have a secret.  Each are desperate to be on the Willhelm Gustloff, a ship leaving Soviet territory.

Have you read those too?!  Try In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters or Alex & Eliza by Melissa de la Cruz. ☺
