Book:Grimm's Ghost Stories
Author: Retold by Laura French
Rating(1-5 Stars)
5 Stars: "The book has a nostalgic feeling to it that adds to the creepy, spooky aspect of the stories by truly presenting a haunting view of the Old West. All five stories transition into each other well, and are all unique, in the characters, plots, themes, and emotional appeals to readers. My favorite story was probably the one about the Shakespeare actors because it made me feel surprisingly sad and bittersweet instead of simply unnerved. The narrator Hephzibah is also mysterious and the writing style is quite immersive and enthralling. "- B.B, grade 12
